Highland Fling Race
The ‘Fling’ is a 53-mile ultramarathon along the southern section of the West Highland Way, running from Milngavie to Tyndrum. Featuring 7,500 feet of elevation gain and a 15hour cut-off, the race goes through diverse terrain including forest trails, Conic Hill, the shores of Loch Lomond, and remote Highland paths. It is one of Scotland’s most popular ultramarathons and serves as a key stepping stone for runners aiming to tackle longer endurance events.
